- I don't think that they are trying to make excuses for Bella. What people fail to see that Bella is more of self discover. Just like you watch your own daughter grow and develop into a independent young Adult. That is what Bella is doing.

- Bella was and is strong. She made the decision to leave her mother and live with her father. That was Bella's decision. Don't you know for a Kid that is a hard choice to make. just because Bella isn't beating someone down doesn't mean that she is weak.

- I can understand the writers POV but I do not agree with it. Her comparisons of Bella and Sookie is like comparing apples to oranges. Sookie who is 25 years old had to over come some obstacles in her past with being abused by her uncle. she was able to over come it, but still has issues with it now.
